How to ride Zoox · first time, step by step
Las Vegas has been paid since 10 Aug 2026, the first purpose-built robotaxi in the country to charge fares. Other cities are still free while they scale.

The ride, in order
- Pick a destination, then a pickup point.This is the big difference: Zoox uses fixed pickup and drop-off zones, not your doorstep.
- The app shows your pod's plate and an ETA.Find My Zoox lets you set a distinct light and sound cue so you can pick yours out of a busy zone.
- At some venues, Resorts World among them, staff on site will walk a first-timer through the app.
- The pod is purpose-built: no steering wheel, no pedals, four seats facing each other.
How long it waitsWaits can run longer than Uber or Lyft at peak, and rides do get cancelled. Do not use it for a flight you have to make.
Worth knowingLas Vegas fares are a base plus per-mile and per-minute, quoted up front, and the quote holds even if the pod takes a longer route. Hours are 11:00 to 01:00 daily per launch reporting, checked 2026-08-16, and hours change without notice, so confirm in the app before a late ride.
