In Dallas, a request for UberX, Uber Comfort, or Uber Comfort Electric may match you with an Avride Ioniq 5 at no extra cost vs that product. You get a notification and can accept or switch to a human-driven ride. An on-board specialist is still in the driver's seat. Confirm the live map in the Uber app. We do not publish hours.

The ride, in order

  1. Open the Uber app and request UberX, Uber Comfort, or Uber Comfort Electric inside the live Dallas map.
  2. If Uber matches you with an Avride Ioniq 5, you get a notification.Accept it, or switch to a human-driven ride.
  3. When it arrives, check the car against the app.It is an Ioniq 5 with a person in the driver's seat, not a purpose-built pod.
  4. Sit in a passenger seat.The specialist's seat is theirs.
  5. Ride as a normal Uber trip.Need out early? Use the Uber app the way you would on any other ride.
