Regen paddles change the feel
Left and right paddles step regen up or down. Level 0 feels more like a gas car; higher levels one-pedal more. Pick a level you like in a quiet lot before traffic.

From
Everyone comes to their first electric drive from somewhere different. Tell us where you are and we will match the help to you, nothing more.
You know your way around. We will surface only the two things worth a refresher on this exact car, then get out of your way and into the plan.
Not a manual. Just the few things about this car that surprise people, calibrated to where you put the dial.
This car · this trip
Port, key, and a few things that bite on EV6. Not a manual. Just what makes the next hour feel normal.

The mile estimate is optimistic on highway and cold days. Plan stops from battery percent. Below about 20% start looking; try not to arrive under 10% at a busy site.
Find Drive, feel regen in a quiet street, and confirm walk-away lock once. After that the car is just a car. Everything else is percent, plugs, and return time.
Remote climate and lock often need the owner's app account (Bluelink on a Hyundai, Kia Connect on a Kia, Genesis Connected Services on a Genesis). On a rental you may only have the key fob and the car screen. Do not count on phone preheat unless the desk confirms access.
Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis EVs use a rotary dial or a column shifter depending on model and year. Brake in, select D, release the park brake if it is on. Silence is normal. Glance at the door card if the desk did not explain it.
First fifteen minutes
Do these in the lot or a quiet street when you can. This is the calm before the day math.
The good stuff
The one calm layer that answers the only three questions that matter: will I make it, where do I stop, and how long there. Move the sliders and watch it recompute.
about 254 mi (±10%) · model + weather
Illustrative. Range is derated for highway speed (~82% of the sticker) and today's conditions, with a ~15% arrival cushion. Live weather sharpens this once your town or destination is set.

Two jobs · first stall vs return
Those are different jobs. Photo the gauge. Do not sit to 100. Named start: ChargePoint · Venetian / Palazzo.
Corridor seed · verify open hours in Maps · not live stall status.
Year not set. Most rentals of this class are still CCS, so the named stall is CCS / EA until you set year. 2025+ is NACS.
First plug without looking clueless
Stop times match the day verdict. Mountain trips name outbound and return legs. On non-Tesla public networks about 1 in 7 charge attempts still goes wrong · Superchargers fail far less. Not live stall availability.
Surfaced when they matter
The handful of things that turn into a fee, a ticket, or a scare. We only show the ones your trip actually touches, so you are not buried in warnings you will never hit.
The desk sets the return % at pickup. Right now you are at about 70%. When in doubt, photograph the gauge at pickup and match it at return.
