On a triple-digit afternoon the pack works harder: cabin AC, battery cooling, and sometimes slower DC charging. Rough range loss can sit around high-single-digit to ~10% when temps stay near 95°F+. Precondition on the way to a Supercharger, precool while plugged in, park in shade when you can, and prefer early or evening DC if the session feels throttled.

Strip-adjacent stalls queue and idle-fee hard at Strip chargers

High-demand sites near the Strip fill on weekend evenings. Arrive with enough pack to skip a long queue, or charge mid-day. When finished, move within the grace window. Congestion plus idle fees stack here faster than in quiet suburbs.

Move your car when it is done when charging finishes

The moment charging completes, an idle fee can start ($0.40 to $1.00 per minute), and a busy Supercharger adds a congestion fee. There is usually a 5 minute grace to unplug. This is exactly why we nudge you to stop at 80% and walk back before it finishes.
