tesla.com/robotaxi names Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Austin, Dallas and Houston.

Cybercab, Tesla's two-seat purpose-built cab, hails in limited parts of Austin through the Tesla Robotaxi app. Other unsupervised markets still use ordinary-looking Teslas. Confirm the vehicle and outline in the app. Unsupervised markets run 6am to 10pm, 7 days a week, per Tesla Robotaxi on 26 Aug 2026; that hours line was not re-posted on the marketing page this pass. Tesla said the unsupervised fleet is a lot bigger, with no published vehicle count. The Bay Area still has a safety driver.

Cybercab vs Robotaxi

Hail Cybercab in the Tesla Robotaxi app. You do not pick the cab; the app sends a Cybercab or an ordinary-looking Tesla by group size and availability. Two seats, no wheel or pedals. Confirm the vehicle in the app.

Cybercab rider hail is Live in limited parts of Austin only. Tesla Robotaxi still runs ordinary-looking Teslas in Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa.

Tesla Robotaxi prep is not a Cybercab hail: Phoenix is staged, Las Vegas has a Nevada permit for Clark County. Owner-op and retail Cybercab wait on Tesla's public open.

The ride, in order

  1. Enter a destination inside the service area.You see an estimated fare and wait before you confirm.
  2. When it arrives, check the license plate against the one in the app before you touch the door.In limited parts of Austin the app may send a Cybercab (two seats, no wheel or pedals) or an ordinary-looking Tesla. Elsewhere unsupervised markets still look like Model Ys.
  3. Open the door, buckle up, tap Start Ride.
  4. Climate, music and seat position are yours from the app or the car's touchscreen.
  5. Pull Over is on the touchscreen and in the app; it stops at the nearest safe spot.
