Cybercab vs Robotaxi

Book in the Tesla Robotaxi app. You do not pick the vehicle: Tesla says the app assigns a Model Y or a Cybercab by availability. In a Cybercab, riders 13 to 17 ride with an adult and no one under 13 rides. Confirm the vehicle in the app.

Dated reporting from September 2026 places Cybercab rides in limited parts of Austin, booked in the Tesla Robotaxi app. Tesla's support page lists Model Y and Cybercab in the fleet; elsewhere expect a Model Y.

Tesla's robotaxi map lists Las Vegas and Phoenix as coming soon. That is not a ride yet. Owner-op and retail Cybercab wait on Tesla's public open.

The ride, in order

  1. Enter a destination inside the service area, review the fare and wait estimate, then confirm.
  2. When the car arrives, check its license plate against the app.
  3. Get in, buckle up and tap Start Ride.The front-left seat is not for riders.
  4. You can change your destination during the ride.You cannot add stops or book a ride for someone else.
  5. Pull Over and Support are on the touchscreen and in the app.Tesla's support line is (877) 798-3752.
