Paid since 10 Aug 2026, the first purpose-built robotaxi in the country to charge fares.

Fifteen fixed Strip zones from Fontainebleau to Mandalay Bay, hours 11:00 to 01:00 daily per launch reporting. Fares sit roughly 20 to 40 percent over a plain UberX, quoted before you accept and locked even if the pod reroutes.

The ride, in order

  1. Pick a destination, then a pickup point.This is the big difference: Zoox uses fixed pickup and drop-off zones, not your doorstep.
  2. The app shows your pod's plate and an ETA.Find My Zoox lets you set a distinct light and sound cue so you can pick yours out of a busy zone.
  3. At some venues, Resorts World among them, staff on site will walk a first-timer through the app.
  4. The pod is purpose-built: no steering wheel, no pedals, four seats facing each other.

How long it waitsWaits can run longer than Uber or Lyft at peak, and rides do get cancelled.Do not use it for a flight you have to make.

Also on the road, not hailable. Waymo has driverless cars on the road here, but Las Vegas still sits on its up-next list carrying employees. Tesla Robotaxi has a Nevada permit for Clark County; that is not a public hail, and Cybercab is not a Vegas hail. Cars on the road and a service you can hail are different facts; do not plan around the first one.
