Hertz EV weekend: return % and charge rules

Match pickup charge percent, photograph the gauge, keep Hertz Tesla limits at or under 90%, unplug near 80% on busy DC stops.

Return at pickup %

For Hertz EV rentals, the clean rule is match the charge percent you photographed at pickup. If the gauge showed 82% when you left the lot, aim for that same reading on the way back.

Photograph the gauge at pickup and again at return. That pair is the shield if the desk asks later. Confirm the written agreement; desks can also offer pay-at-pickup or a desk recharge.

Charge rules that catch people

On Hertz Tesla terms, keep the charge limit at or under 90%. Leave the rental off your personal Tesla payment method.

On a busy Supercharger or EA stall, unplug near 80%. The last stretch is slow, and idle fees are occupancy-gated after a short grace. Desk return SOC and stall idle are different problems.

Weekend pace

Leave the hotel or first stall with enough percent for the day. A second short DC stop beats camping the taper.

ElevnEV sketches day rates and coaches the first stall. Booking stays on Hertz or whoever you open.
