Weekend EV must-haves: what to check

Use the desk plug
Open the frunk. Use what the desk left. If a hotel is J1772 and the car is NACS, skip that pedestal or ask the desk. A 48-hour car runs on desk gear; adapters and Keep kit wait for a car you keep longer.
Photograph the gauge
Match the charge percent you photographed at pickup. That pair is the argument if the desk asks later. Confirm the written agreement. Some desks offer pay-at-pickup or a desk recharge instead.
First stall
On a Hertz Tesla, keep the limit at or under 90%. Leave the rental off your personal Tesla payment. On a busy DC stall, unplug near 80%. Idle fees are occupancy-gated after a short grace.
